I've had my LPCC GoldTop for one week today.... and I can't stop playing it! An amazing guitar with excellent build quality! The setup out of the box (PLEK'd) is quite good. The baked maple is as dark as the rosewood on my Fenders. IMHO.... a great value all the way around.

Here are the store pics of mine. They are of the actual guitar. This reminds me Of Randy Rhoads guitar from before I even played being just a little kid. I always loved that cream Custom he had. I think it was a 1970.

I got my LP Classic Custom on Dec. 5th, and I'm still absolutely thrilled with it!!! I went looking for a either a LP Standard or a LP Traditional. I played a LP Classic Custom and I was hooked!

Hello Friend! Being a huge Randy Rhoads fan I didn't choose the cream CC just because still haven't gave up the chance of owning a vintage '74 Custom, like He had. A Wildwood Exclusive '70s Spec would do too... Anyway, a few days after I got my AN, I've found this picture of Randy:



It's probably an instrument He has borrowed from someone. Haven't seen any other pictures of Him playing a 70s pancake-bodied natural-colored Norlin. Cheers... Bence

That's a great pic. I'm sure Randy had several guitars around. Did you get you CC at Wildwoods? That's where I got mine. I couldn't find the cream one anywhere else. Mostly goldtops are still around and there's not many of them. Nice pictures you posted of your CC too. I will have to take some new pics.

Hello VM! No, I got mine here in Budapest. We don't have an authorized dealership here in Hungary (small country - small demand). But one of the shops here (actually official Ibanez dealers ) have an excellent relationship with a dealer in Poland. They get Gibsons thru them. So the local shop got a Goldtop and a Winered, and some months later a Black one. I custom ordered my natural - they wouldn't have got one otherwise. I often look at Wildwood's page - very professional, and very tempting . Cheers... Bence

Hey Bence,

I get most of my gear through Sweetwater here in the States but the only ones they were getting in on their last shipment was 2 goldtops and one was spoken for. The CC being discontinued they could not get me the cream one and finally one day I found one on Wildwoods website. They were great to do buisness with. Fast service at a great price and set up great.

Hello Chris! I really like Wildwood's site. Very tasteful and it's a very correct approach that they post the pictures of the actual guitars they are selling. Unfortunately buying instruments from overseas is out of reach for us. It would be punished with 10% import tax (which applies to S&H as well), plus 27% VAT!!! Fortunately enough our local shop is fantastic! I can imagine how hard it is for them to get some of these sought-after, limited edition guitars and still earn their share of profit. It's a pleasure to do business with them. Cheers... Bence

What do you know about the CC being discontinued? I was told that by one of the guitar salesman at the GC in Richmond, VA, but I see GC online listing all colors as available on their main website (from the distribution center)??

Hello Sultan! I've heard that the production got stopped, but that doesn't mean they are all got sold. These are listed as "Limited Edition" guitars on Gibson's site too. Cheers... Bence
