Acoustics are more skilled hand labor intensive and the wood has to be absolutely superior for a great sounding acoustic guitar. There's just no getting around it.

Are you familiar with Martin's Performing Artist Series? They are some the best sounding acoustics I've ever heard and played. I've been wanting a 12 string acoustic, and I'm trying to convince Martin to make a 12 string for this series since they recently put the J-40 12 Special on the inactive list. They responded very positively to the suggestion, so we'll see what happens. I know it will be an expensive one, but it will certainly be worth it.

The Martin D28 is exactly as defined by many a truly superb guitar.

The 60th Anniversary Tele has the Custom Shop Texas Specials fitted. I retained the original pickups incase I sell it (but doubt it) This thing rocks.

And of course last but by no means least my recently acquired Wine Red Classis Custom Les Paul. A beautifully finished guitar. The Photos don't do justice to

it as the finish is such a deep wine red almost 3d to look at and just love the Character Les Paul seam which is on all the vintage series I have seen.

Well my LPCC came in this morning around 9:30, only on my 3rd cup of coffee. I unpacked it and cracked the case, not enough to see it, but so it could aclamate to the house temp.1hr later was all I could take, opened her up and WOW. Tuned her up and been playing since 10:30, quick coffee break and a smoke outside, then back to it. Post pix later.

Very nice indeed. The maple top on the body looks like it has some excellent wood grain showing through!

Nice looking Classic Custom! So many of you all, have such
massive amps (Stacks, and 1/2 Stacks) in your bedrooms. You must have
very understanding parents, spouses/children, and/or neighbors?

The wife just walks buy and shakes her head, so when her and the kids are home I run through my Blues Deluxe Re-Issue. when their gone its on, the BDRI and the Egnater in stereo!!!

LOL. I was actually on my neighbor's side of the fence and he trying to grow grass. I was concerned the lawn sprinklers were going to kick on.

I'm really gassing for a new guitar right now. If these are still available when I get the money together, I'll snap one up. I had been eyeing the natural finish, but the likes of newwt and Lesspaul are swaying me to wine red. Always wanted one of those too. I should mention that I'd ideally buy the secondhand aged white lp 68RI custom that I've been perving over recently, but I've a feeling that'll be long gone.

As much as I'd love to, it'll be a few months before I get to have a new guitar day. Just got married recently, so money is a little tight right now. My wife did offer to buy me a guitar about a month ago though, but I'll wait until I have the money myself.
