Well, after searching for my next guitar, I thought I had settled on a Gretsch 5120, but then made the mistake of picking up a Les Paul Studio in satin black with chrome hardware. I guess a Gretsch will be somewhere in my future, but I will be picking the Les Paul up in a couple weeks.

I currently live just outside of Austin, but will be moving to NW Indiana in the coming month. Regardless of where I live, I'm still a Texan.

Nice place y'all have here, and I look forward to utilizing y'alls many years of Gibson information in the future.

Welcome! Not a bad guitar to make a mistake with. Hopefully you'll get your Gretsch to add to your collection some day.

Welcome! I recently saw a White Penquin that came in to a local shop brand new from the factory and it was an amazing Gretsch guitar. Right nearby was Epi Emperor Swingster and suddenly my attention was drawn to the Epi . Funny how that goes.... Enjoy you new LP when you receive it, can't wait to see the pics...

I moved from Central Indiana (Indy) to Central Texas. I'm in Hutto right now. I've been here for almost 4 year and have become a Texan.

A Texan is a great thing to become. My wife finally converted, well almost, I just need her to stop saying "pop."

Bit off subject but my first guitar was a Texan circa 1962. Weighs as much as two Les Paul's strapped together but I still have it

Howdy, Parker, welcome to the forums. You'll find yourself in good company here, both in terms of Texans as well as fellow pickers and grinners. I left Texas in '55 as a tad and it's mostly rubbed off by now I s'pose. I did purchase a Texan model Framus guitar in '69 in Germany, used it to trick my Mrs. into joinin' up with me. It won't be going anywhere before I do. Enjoy yourself, compadre.

Greetings from Washington brother!
Confusion between who and whom is just the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put.
