It's a nice idea, but the problem you'll probably have is that it's fairly pricey to line up a conference room at a hotel. Maybe with the economy as it is now, it might be a little bit easier. Also, most hotels are booked well in advance. We book the Gran Tree in Bozeman a year in advance, just to get the time we want. And even then, we sometimes have to settle for our second choice. They also usually want to know how many will be attending, well in advance and require a deposit. The economy really makes a hit there too, as several usually cancel at the last minute when they find out they can't afford to go at the last minute. Depending on your contract with the hotel, you may be stuck with the extra costs. The ideal situation would be to find someone with connections to a facility that would be willing to work with you.
