Ability to play Effects and samples via USB

I would love a USB input for an effect unit, or iPhone effect apps, it would be great if these samples could then be recorded when dropped in the mix using the inbulit record feature. I tried connecting my iPhone but sound doesn't come through - has anyone else managed this

You could try just connecting your iPhone into the mic jack to input sound effects and stuff that way

Best thing would be to plug into a Kaoss Pad or even the Korg mini KP.
