HellboundGreaser
I was out of town for three days and when I got home I noticed that I forgot to turn the heat on. The thermostat read 34 degrees in my house. Is my AJ in any danger because of this? I keep it locked up in a case at all times.
albertjohn
Make sure it gets back to room temperature very gradually and don't open the case until you're sure it has done.
retrorod
I've always read that it was the SUDDEN extreme temperature changes that could cause the most damage. Like aj said, make sure its done....RRod

John Lee Walker
I've had my guitars, both acoustics and electrics, sit overnight, in some cases for days, in sub-zero temps in vans and/or bus cargo holds, and they were always fine. As posted above, the IMPORTANT thing is gradual temperature restoration. The sudden change is what can affect the wood, braces, neck, etc. When I take a guitar into a hotel from freezing temps outside, I always let it sit for about 30 minutes, then crack open the case and prop up the lid about an inch or two for another 15 minutes or so. Feel it with your hand until you can notice the change. In worst case scenarios you can actually see the finish fog up right in front of you if you subject your instrument to extreme cold to hot temps without thaw time. HellboundGreaser
Thanks for the feedback folks. I let it sit in the case for 2 hours before I removed it. Heck it wasn't even out of tune.
