I bought two Elliot capo designs, one Elliot Elite and one Elliot-McKinney. The Elite has a slimmer body and a push-button lock design, while the McKinney is their standard weight body and the flip over stirrup design. You can read about the Elliot capos here if you'd like more details. I have decided I prefer the stirrup design and would like to give the Elite push-button to another forum member......a $160 capo for free! Uh huh.

I have pondered how to give everyone a fair shot at the thing and I came up with this: complete the lyric below correctly as I originally wrote it. This was a quite silly song I wrote for fun back in the seventies not long after I began to play guitar. I had poked around enough to discover that a Martin guitar was evidently something special, something above and beyond. I did not at the time have a clue why this was the case, and while I have owned several different Martins since then, my instrument of choice in my old age is Gibson.....no surprise there. Anyway, here's the lyric, at least as I remember it. The winner must fill in the exact words missing below. All single words, not phrases and only one guess per member please! It would be unfair if someone's choices looked good to you with a change of one or two of the words after you'd already submitted your words........okay? You'll just have to trust me on this one. I think there was another verse but I can't remember it for the life of me. No hints.....no help......figure it out!
I want a Martin
I'll stop my _________
I'll even try to slow down my early _________
If I can have a Martin guitar in my hands
You know I'll kiss your _______ for the rest of the ________
I know that you're thinkin' that I'm some kind of _________
But I need a Martin like you need the air that you breathe.
As soon as I spot the winning post I'll jump in. And those of you out of the US.........take your best shot......I'll send the capo to the winner wherever he or she might be. Good luck and thanks for playing! This should be fun, huh!
