I gave in to the power of apple and got an iPhone 4s. Who else has one and knows good apps?

Me and Siri have been havin some laughs!

I got one in March. I resisted for a long time, but I really like some of the apps.

Some of the apps I like are:

Gibson app - has tuner and metronome
tapatalk - for reading forums
ESPN score center
Camera+
Camera!
PS Express - photoshop for the iPhone
The Weather Channel
Bible Gateway
RunKeeper - can use it for walking and biking too - tells you distance, pace, route, calories, etc.
Alltrails - tells you hiking and biking trails nearby
Amazon price check
Gas buddy - find cheapest gasoline/petrol prices nearby

There is a free version of Fender Amplitude. It's kinda cool but you also need to buy the interface. I think it's about $30 bones!

I wouldn't get too friendly with that Siri mate, I hear she gets around~

Jealous here as I can't justify a 4s as to cover the phone it's $79 a month whereas our current plan is $20 a month and exceeds our needs at that.

I am probably going to get one of the Androids in a week or two but am limited to a prepaid "blue tick" phone because of the "fringy" area we live in. I'm still about $50 short of the mark, but it won't be long.

The only reason I'd like a smartphone is that we send a lot of texts and with arthritic fingers we would both appreciate a QWERTY keyboard!

skyfire (an internet browser)
facebook App
youtube app
a flashlight app
calculator
photobucket app
and the mp3 player

now here is the coolest app for an iphone ..... iStomp, it requires some extra hardware but its COOL

@digger, I have to have the Guy due to being in England, but they also have an Aussie lady just for you haha!


The apps I got straight away was the Gibson, ton of games, flashlight, facebook twitter, instagram, ebay paypal, orange account, and some other funny stuff. Will try out some of your suggestions.

@bigneil love the andertons guys, and saw the iStomp video on chappers channel, I have been thinking about getting one. Lot of money though and you have to buy the pedals on top, unless you just keep doing the 5mins freeee


Only annoying thing is my emails dont come through like they did on a blackberry I have to keep opening up the mail to see if I have any. But if im on wifi it pops up straight away so is this just an iPhone thing?

Congrats on the new iPhone. Everyone I know that has them love theirs.

From what I have seen of smart phones the cameras take reasonable portraits but despite the number of pixels are pretty lousy for things like landscapes. I have more cameras than I can poke a stick at so that isn't an attraction!

Still they must be fun to muck about with.

The 4s with Siri or whatever the male version is, would be very useful if you are using it for business I would imagine.

Actually I might be right for my Android by the weekend.....see how we go.

Have lots of fun, and it's always intersting becoming acquainted with a nice new piece of electronics.

Sketchy ... you can go into "Settings" (the icon with the gear on it) and under "Notifications" activate Mail. That way new emails will automatically d/l and you will be notified by by a little number next to the Mail icon ... and well as the sound effect of your choice. It uses a little bit of battery power to have the phone constantly checking for new mail ... but not enough for you to really notice.

On to the FUN STUFF ... this is, far and away, the best music app I've tried so far. You have to buy the interface ... but the great software is free, Free ... FREE!!!

I think I've sorted out the mail problem. Only down side with Siri uk is that the search for businesses and restaurants only works for the us .

Instagram is an app not just for iphone but for anything. It lets you take photos instantly edit them with the effects they give you, then you upload to your instagram profile which also allows you to upload to facebook and twitter as status/tweet with a link to your photo.

So its basically like imageshack or yfrog but you can do it straight from your phone.

Also on the topic of instagram. Mark Zuckerberg and facebook crew have bought the app for...
