Hey Guys ,

can anybody out there tell me if the aging on the Ace Frehley Budokan LP Custom was done by Tom Murphy ?

The "I Heart Guitar Blog" described the edition as Murphy aged :

"This limited edition instrument will be available in four versions: fifty signed guitars aged by Tom Murphy in the Gibson Custom Shop; one hundred aged (but not signed) pieces; a further 150 finished with Gibson’s VOS (Vintage Original Spec) process" http://iheartguitarb...acefrehley.html

On the other hand, Gibson.com never wrote that the Ace Custom Lp´s where Murphy aged.

Thank you in advance

James

Just checked the Gibson website and it does not say they are Murphy aged. 50 guitars will be given the Aged treatment. 50 seems a bit excessive for Murphy to do alone. If you are interested in buying an aged one, make sure the seller can prove whether or not it is Murphy aged. There may be a few, but as far as the Gibson website is concerned, there aren't any.
Have cut back on my equipment do to circumstance. Just my #1 Gibson Les Paul Standard just now. No amps, no pedals.
