Morning,

Just a quick question what would you expect to pay for a used j-200 studio, I went to try one yesterday new, for £2100, i have watching the used price for a few weeks now and they seem to be selling for £2000 used, well i say selling, thats what people are asking for them. I have around £1650, do you think i could pick one up for that, or do i need to save some extra cash up? Many thanks.

2100 new, 2000 used? That's crazy.... 2100 new, used price of 60% should be around 1260, so I'd say a used price realistically of 13-1400 depending on condition. Anything else and you're getting a bad price.

It's a buyers market, mate... if required to, remind them of that!

2000£ for a used one is too much, regardless of conditions, if it costs 2100 new. I would pay a maximum of 1600£ for a used "as new" recently one.

PM 's right . j45's sell for 1100 -1200 or so . and they are 1850 new . depends totally on the situation of the seller too , it is a buyers market but sometimes even more so if the guy is desperate for a quick sale .

upshot is £2000 is too dear

good luck . dont get excited at a guitar and dive at first thing you see, theres no shortage of them.

What PM said. I bought my J-150 for $1400 which is similar to a J-200 Studio. It sounds better than most new J-200's as it had 10 years to soften up.
