Jeff has a Les Paul as a first guitar, he doesnt play it anymore because he is afraid that he would break it due to all the abuse it has been through. Also used it on Hell Awaits.

While I had been unknowingly listening to LP players like Ace Frehley well before I even started playing, the first guitarist that really made me decide I had to have a Les Paul was Ted Nugent, with his sunburst LP in the video for "She Drives Me Crazy", which I recorded off a Headbanger's Ball episode around 1987 (two years after that I got a cherry sunburst '83 LP Standard, best choice I made and I never looked back.) Seems strange to me now, as Ted was known for his love of Super 400s and didn't play Les Pauls too often.

Les Paul's are my signature for metal. I remember growing up a lot of guy's didn't like them and I'm a shredder and they'd want the thing RG necks and I remember going through that phase. It always just sucked compared to the thick Les Paul tone and neck's.
