ksdaddy
I wonder that sometimes.... or it was a choice given by the loan shark... either the git-box or a thumb.

jefleppard
...and during wartime, all the guitar makers in the world gathered in one factory to make their cherished instruments to save wood. there was such a cammeraderie that they even let each other use each other's names on the headstock. please santa, this christmas bring us back those unselfish times. ksdaddy
In 1976? Oh, yeah come to think of it, 1976 WAS a wartime year for me. I was fighting with my parents, acne was fighting with my skin, hormones and testosterone were fighting with common sense and decency, high school teachers were fighting the urge to run over me in the parking lot.... I spent the year playing a Harmony archtop and then we elected Jimmy Carter. 1976 is a year I'd rather forget. Except if I could have a D-35 from that year. But it will go for stupid money I bet. TommyK
There is sand paper, sawzalls and paint in town. I bet KSDADDY could 'restore' the period correct Gibson headstock. You really willing to let it go for 'stupid money'? It's only got bids that wouldn't even buy a cheap Epiphone. You know you want to bid... go ahead. It's got 'vintage stickers' and everything. ksdaddy
I shall lurk. I only have one Martin. I should have two. So I have 7 Gibsons. Using that equation I should have 14.
Guest
Maybe read the headstock before starting the auction? Prolly just a case of slight of hand, is all, Scott. Everyone KNOWS that the Gibson D-35 is MUCH more desirable than the Martin D-35..... Fred
ksdaddy
Very much more desirable! Dang near impossible to find, too! Well, except on ebay.
onewilyfool
That one looks like it may have been salvaged from New Orleans flood......you might want to CLEAN UP the guitar before taking pics.......lol
brians356
Wow, "plenty of vintage stickers on the case!" I'm reaching for my wallet ... According to my research, it was made in 1975.
