ninety1vee
Marshall EL34 Dual Monobloc amp really curious, never seen or played through one in real life
SRV-Zeppelin
Never heard of one before this thread... so do you plug your regular tube head into it for extra power?
RichCI
Never used one. It's a poweramp; you can run either a preamp into it or a line out of another amp into the Monobloc to power speaker cabinets. Think of it as a guitar amp without a preamp section; it's just raw power.
Thundergod
Played one a while ago (I think it was like 2 years ago... might be other model but it was a rackmountable marshall power amp). Playes through a yamaha dg stomp preamp... sounded nice. Played with a boss gt8... that was the one time that damned multifx thing sounded like it was meant to. Not much you can talk about it anyway, as rich explained it is just the power section... Some people think great distortion comes from a nice tube preamp and they are wrong, great dist. comes from a cranked power section. This thing alows you to use the preamp of your choice. I wonder how it would sound like with the BullDog distortion and with the Guvnor... damn I wish I was still friends with the owner. I preffer this thing.... highly recomended. http://www.thomann.de/gb/mesa_boogie_90-90.htm?partner_id=79570
