lengle1981
So I had a little accident and damaged two tuning pegs on my ej200. Anyway I thought if go for the green tulip tuners instead now. I prefer the look. Does anyone know which ones to get, don't want to spend a mint on them but would like them to function as good as my current ones did. I love in the uk aswell btw

(1) will they be any good (2) would these drop in without any drilling? Grover ones look great but expensive to get in uk.

Grover ones look great but expensive to get in uk. Every Grover I've ever used has been a quality tuner, so yeah, they'd be good. And if your guitar has Grover Rotomatics on it already (the photo of the EJ200 I saw on the Epiphone website appeared to have Rotomatic or Rotomatic clones) then it already has 13/32nd-diameter peghead holes. It is just a matter of dropping in the new ones. One difference, though, is that the Rotomatic baseplate (such as here: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,_solid_peghead_tuners/Grover_Tuners/Grover_Full-size_Rotomatics.html) affixes to the back of the peghead with a single screw, while the ones with the keystone knobs have a two-screw baseplate. But that's just a matter of filling the old screw holes and then making new holes. Always remember to drill a pilot hole first, though.

Alan189
Hi, I made the same modification to my EJ200. I used Grover Deluxe bought and required no reeming or drilling! Looks better too!
zombywoof
To me, the tuners on the EJ-200 look thinner than standard Grovers so I have always assumed they were knockoffs. I could be wrong though. I believe the Elite version of the EJ-200 does sport Grover Imperials so I am assuming those wouold also be a drop in replacement.
