Screw size

Hi I got a Les paul custom 1971, it has a original pickguard, but it is off the guitar. The screws are gone, so I need the size for replacingthem. please help me

On mine, they are Phillips head wood screws about 3/8 to 1/2 inches long. So, the threads are pretty coarse. They are slightly domed. They look very much like the screws that hold on a Fender Strat pick guard.

I bought some from stewmac. I think they're #3 ovalheads. They're not expensive and you can get steel or brass.
