For Sale: 1957 Gibson CF-100 as seen in restoration thread in the Gibson acoustic forum.

Price: $4,500.00 - Or Best Offer ( All reasonable offers will be considered!!)

From basket case to a beautiful player ready to please a discerning buyer. Better than an original CF-100 in both sound and playability due to meticulous improvements employed by luthier Bob Rigaud.

Restoration features:
New Sitka Spruce top with scalloped red spruce bracing finished in Gibson sunburst

New bound Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with Mother of Pearl ( NOT Mother of Toiletseat) fret markers and new frets.

New ebony headplate with Mother of pearl Gibson logo and diamond inlay. Headstock has been rewinged and recut to match stock Gibson headstock profiles.

New Brazilian RW bridge and bone saddle.

All binding is a true reproduction of the stock Gibson binding for this model.

All work performed by master luthier (and former Gibson Repair Rep) Bob Rigaud and myself over the course of 1 year.

A Montana rancher friend has both versions, electric and strictly acoustic - although he added a Fishman magnetic pup to the acoustic one. Sez they've been gone over by Gibbie Montana.

I'd love to have one but in his case it'd take an armed robbery with the assistance of a Marine rifle company or a dozen SEALS; for yours, it's just way, way, way over my billfold. #@$%#$@% Of course, so would talking the Marines or Seals into helping in the other non-functional option.

For what it's worth, the closest I've come to something similar, and IMHO this size and shape are almost perfect for what and how I play, is the inexpensive Epi PR5e that sounds just fine electrified.

I envy you guys... <grin> This is one of the guitars nobody seems to much care for, but IMHO is a great design.

EDIT: Unless... you wanna drive out here to swap for some firearms and visit the local parrot shelter.
