Dont happen often when Mrs EA gets in the mood to sing a tune at home but we had a bottle or two of red last night and had a go after many months away from the mike.

Anyway, when I was in Oz she really fell in love with this track by Amanda Ghots (anyone ever heard of her, I havent) a cracking track however.

So anyway, she light up her Marlboro light and with a glass of red had a go. The recording is low quality as I didnt have my good mike around, so we just went straight into the Mac and Garage Band, with some chorus setting she had on, but it sort of works on this track.

Anyway, hope you like it, probably wont happen again for another six months or so !

Anyone pick the guitar I was using ...?

Ha, she will love ya for saying that FB ! Morcheeba is her favourite band. We actually did a cracking cover of Morcheeba at one of these drunken sessions about 18 months ago, here it from way back. cheers.

It was a bit bright with the low-fi settings wasnt it .... but Taylor it wasnt .. [mellow]

Thanks Dan, and indeed it is a great voice. Which makes it all the more frustrating when she so rarely puts it to such good use. Women, they really need to get in the mood n' all, dont they ...... [cursing]

btw: wasnt the Bird ... ;-)

That's a very pretty voice!

She should get a different guitar player and really work at it - smells like cash to me. I don't understand what she is doing with such an Aussie boofhead - must be all the money you are about to make with the new job!

Kidding of course - really nice!

I have no idea which guitar you played, but because the level is down a little, little bit, I will say the Martin hogtop.

.
Guitar - SJ.

Despite how little you record together, you sound great.

Equipment and environment don't seem to matter, her voice just shines.

Thanks a lot Fellas, Mr EA was very happy to read your positive posts this morning (after thumping me first for posting it here as I said I wouldnt, but she did such a great job it would be a pity).

Mersey, I agree she has almost ridiculously perfect pitch, something Im insanely jealous off as I have generally crap pitch, but she's just a natural at this.

But its good for her as she now has another track under her belt to perform live so will give her some motivation to come out and play with us again. She's always a big hit when she comes out and sings with the crowd, so heopefully she'll have a crack at the next gig.

btw: its pretty hard to pick the guitar because of the low quality and chorusy effect, but it was the big maple J-150.

cheers
EA

Mrs. EA has a lovely voice and you, Mr. EA sound great in accompaniment. Must have something to do with knowing each other so well given that you don't play music together very often.

Thanks again chaps. Your warm and encouraging response has had a real positive effect on Mrs EA. Looks like she's definitely keen to do the next gig with us and get a few more songs under her belt.

Good stuff team ! [thumbup]
