fevitz GC OZ
Since first legrest photo ive updated the photo to what i now find woks great . Its a stainless 1/4" bolt ive filed the top of the bolt down to a jack plug end and was able to buy a authentic later model legrest which i drilled and attached via 2 nuts on the existing thread . The nut on the inside has been grounded at the edge where it folds in on the legrest to allow it to fold fully .
Be.eM
I just purchased this rare vintage 1982 L2 bass . It is in exceptional cond with very little fret wear , a couple of small chips on the bottom where it stands , but apart from that sounds and plays as good as it would have when it was new . Does anybody know to polish the graphite and repair the smallchips in it ? The leg rest was the only part missing , i mad this out of a jack plug and a piece of aluminium , it does the job many thanks Just in case you haven't seen them yet, Andy (from Steinberger World) has just put up some newly made leg rests for sale :)
fevitz GC OZ
Just in case you haven't seen them yet, Andy (from Steinberger World) has just put up some newly made leg rests for sale :) It looks really smooth ! i think mine has the type on the right as the socket inside is not flat , but looks like a jack plug end shape . Also inside there is a small spring loaded pin that moves in and out to allow something like a jack plug to push past it . Do you think this would be compatible with what i have ? If so ill definitly invest in one of these . the dark spot inside the hole is the pin best regrds rick morison

There shouldn't be a pin within the socket, as the pin on Andy's legrest is located on the post. This pin needs a notch in the socket, not another pin. You should probably ask Andy on Steinberger World, but I'm almost sure your socket is the wrong one for these legrests. Bernd
