Anyone have a rosewood bridge for sale or know how to get one? The one I'm after is the one supplied with the 2012 Custom shop es 175 1959 VOS. I have a 2001 175 and have tried some "after market" bridges but would like to try the new Gibson one. I've already contacted Gibson asking if I could buy one direct but they're not selling them as a spare part. I would even be happy to buy the saddle on it's own as it will fit directly too the original TOM bridge base.

I did just this a few years ago on my L-5 (although in ebony, or course). Not only would Gibson NOT sell me the part (in my case it would have been from a "Lee Ritnour" model L-5), as it turns out, the Gibson bridge, AND all the aftermarket and e-bay ones I found, would not have intonated properly anyway.

I had to make it myself.

Thanks for your reply L5Larry, This is exactly my problem too! I had already seen your story on an earlier post and was very impressed by your handywork. I had a luthier fit an ebony bridge a few years ago but I didn't like the sound as much as the rosewood plus it wasn't a "Gibson" style bridge so it looked wrong too. I'm not a luthier but it lookes like I might have to go back to the old Stewmac type and steal the saddle from one of those! Best case scenario for me would be if someone has one of those new 1959 es 175's or similar and doesn't like rosewood or just wants a TOM then they can sell it to me.
