deepblue
I just got my loaded pickguard from Rothstein in the mail. I thought id post two pictures. One showing Fenders sloppy plain Jane approach to a wiring harness. The next is how Rothstein sent their pickguard. Im going to solder her in tomorrow. I cant wait to hear how she sounds! deepblue
Thanks guys... The caps are from V-Cap. The pots are CTS. I even had a Mallory volume kit installed. That way if I back off on the volume knob I dont lose any high end. Im dreading the soldering tomorrow....anyone wanna fly up to Canada?....Dinners on me! surfpup
Nicely shielded too! Not much soldering to do... input jack and ground to bridge, right? Have you considered shielding the cavities while you are in there? Not too tough to do, and it will be dead silent when you're done.

deepblue
surfpup... No, im happy just as it is. The ol' 60 cycle hum doesnt bother me that much anyway. Jess... I gutted and sold the guts to my John Mayer Stratocaster. So that will be my shell to work with. The Mayer pups are great pups, but too "rock" for me...not bluesy enough. If I want rock I reach for my Lester.
