.spades.--==D
Hello all Can anyone help me with an old guitar, the name on the headstock is 'Cromwell', looking inside it says made by Gibson USA, Kalamazoo, Mich. The serial number on the back is 211 6. Just curious if anyone knows anything about these guitars, cant seem to find much on the web.
Thermionik
From 1935-39 Gibson built Cromwell guitars as a budget brand available through mail order businesses.
ballcorner
These were made mostly in the 1930s and are equivalent to midrange Gibsons of the same era. They are good quality guitars built with humble ingredients during the Great Depression. I can't value it for you, but I didn't have any trouble at all finding information about them. Perhaps revise your search string to include the following three words: Cromwell, guitar, Kalamazoo
