Vintage acoustic epiphone guitars

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have recently inherited 2 dreadnought epiphone steel strung acoustic guitars and would value help identifying them:

6 string - on label in sound hole " epiphone 6830 & no 09143"

12 string - " " " " " " "epiphone 6834E & no 03956"

I think they're from the 60's, but not sure. Also an insurance value would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

I cant help you with insurance values other than telling you that these guitars dont have much value at all. These were basically budget guitars from 1970-1971 with laminated bodies and bolt-on necks. I cant remember if there is a neck plate on the back of these or if the necks were screwed on from the inside of the guitar, but they are not set neck guitars. Your guitars are the higher-end of the series.

Yor guitar models are as stated on the labels: Models 6830 & 6834E.

Here is a link to more info.

Some of the links to the full res pics arent working at the moment, but I made sure to fix the images linked to the guitars in question.
