  1. Wow...been inactive for awhile and I see people here biggering over prices? ... Well, anyways I placed an order at Sweetwater for the pelham blue 2019 SG Special and I think its a fair price for this guitar. Gibson did not put a gun to my head in purchasing it. I WANT IT and I DECIDED I will pay the fair asking price for it. Cool thing about Gibson is that they offer USA made guitars at every price point all can afford, $799 and up...
  2. OMG..., apple and oranges, Tesla vs Hell Cat, Blond vs Brunettes, Waxed vs Bushy, Mac vs PC, Big feet vs Small feet, Hamburgers vs Hotdogs, its one of those beating a dead horse, middle school comment threads again??? Jeez... does a good mechanic use a wrench to screw in a screw or use a screwdriver? Use the proper tool for what the job needs. If the song calls for strat sound use a strat. If calls for a les paul use a les paul. Jeez
  3. I got the truss rod wrench, the allen wrench for the bridge, but no allen wrench for the Steinberger tuners.
  4. Nope….the allen wrench was for the bridge. It also came with the truss rod wrench, but not for the Steinberger tuner.
  5. Problem solved. The allen screws on the knurled knob were loose.
  6. Man….this sucks. I just got my new Gibson Firebird 2016 T yesterday and when I was tuning up the D string the knurl knob from the back of the headstock fell off. WTF?? I heard a snap, but I see no signs of anything breaking off. The guitar is only two days old and I've been waiting for about month since it was backordered. I don't want to send it back because sweetwater does not have any to replace it with. I hope it was just a loose allen screw…but what is the size, not sure if its in Metric or US sizing. Anyone else had this issue?
  7. Hey BG! I just saw in the MF sales tax thread you're a fellow Californian. What city are you in?

    I'm in Placentia.

  8. Here is my R8 in faded cherry and my 07' in trans amber. By bluesguitar65 at 2011-10-27 By bluesguitar65 at 2011-10-27 R8 By bluesguitar65 at 2011-10-05 By bluesguitar65 at 2011-10-05
  9. Ann! That is interesting - as well as being on the spectrum myself, my wife Is teacher in an autistic school. She is passionate about it! Me and you have much in common!!

  10. Stick with the 10s since the guitar is already setup for the 10 gauge. If you change to 9s, you may have to re setup the guitar's intonation and perhaps adjust the neck for the lighter gauge. I think 10s would help you get your fingers stronger and I think higher gauge strings seem to have better tone IMHO.
  11. Really nice playing, I admire your skills.

  12. Here is my 2006 non chambered standard in trans amber finish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYUOw73EP6k Fpr the past week, I've been playing this guitar though, but I still play my les pauls. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=215-HbE7Bxc
  13. This model believe it or not is a 2008. Its an early 2008 before Gibson updated it with locking cable jack, strap lock and tuners. Its a transition model. MF was clearing these out to make room for the updated 2008 models and I got this baby shipped for $1600 with HSC. They had a black one for $1400. Its a great Desert Burst finish.
  14. Hello mate!
