  1. Call Val Bolitho in Bozeman (406) 539-9229. Up until her retirement a year ago she was the custom inlay person at the Gibson plant. She has the expertise, and can talk toy you about the inlay process, potential cost, and problems.

  2. Thanks for the kind words and advice, everyone. The left hand is progressively getting better but it was least damaged. The right hand (my picking hand) well, we shall see. Gotta find a open MRI as I discovered this morning I can't manage the closed one. At least I can still strum a little!
  3. I accidentally banged my hands into a cactus and now have arthritis symptoms that are restricting my playing due to stiffness, swelling and pain. 5 weeks of this with little or no change. Have seen a couple of doctors who don't seem to be too familiar with this affliction. Although one of them did diagnose it. Prescribed steroids which gave a bit of relief but nothing lasting. Regardless, having an MRI tomorrow to see if any plant matter remains in my hands. Hoping that's not the case as surgery is the only real option as remedy. Just thought I'd ask if there were any gardener types here that might have a bit of advice from experience. Thanks in advance. Plant thorn arthritis. Who'd a thunk it FFS...
  4. Yes, your J35 an your playing eased right in there. Very nice! Thanks for the tip on the other gal as well.
  5. Very nice! Really a great sound together. Not a tune I'm familiar with but a lovely melody. My awareness of the octave mando is only recent since I've been listening to gal named Sara Jarosz. Liked this a lot. Thx for posting.
  6. recycled skateboards: Might be lacking in tone but what the heck...
  7. Hi Robert I found and OJ ! I am very happy with it! Great sound ! I can see why you hung on to yours! But were your htought on the sound ect? Jim/Subu

  8. If skill were a prerequisite for fine guitar ownership, I'd be playing a Squire.
  9. My adi/rosewood prototype JB will be back home from Bozeman on Tues. It has been missed.
  10. Hey Rob- you serious? Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a J-45 True Vintage... think you had one of those at some point, what were your impressions? Also, don't want to be a vulture here, but if you're selling, I might be interested in the JB or OJ (if you still have these). Take care!

  11. Jannus...Hope all is OK with you, I see you are upset, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater....anyway...take care...it does bug me too, and I really hate the company policies...but there are a lot of good workers and good products

  12. Never play out anywhere. Strictly at the house. Thanks! Hope all is well with you!
