The last time Clapton was here we considered going to Melbourne to see him but decent tickets were $550 each and with transport , accomodation, meals etc it was going to cost us close to $2K!

I figured I could buy a nice guitar for that!

Ha ha, yeah, I'm like that too. Once I make up my mind to do something and get involved, I go full bore!! People have told me that a lot. Their amazed with how I stick to something and keep going. Right now I'm going full bore on resting! LolPosted ImagePosted Image. Another day and it's too darn hot outside. Yesterday they said in Old Millard which is where we live, it hit 113 degree heat index. This morning it was 85% humidity and it's 99 degree now. Or real feel.

Wow! You've been as busy as a bee! That a lot more since the last photo I saw. And 2 rows of it? Not bad at all for a 71 year old with a bad back and arthritis and the rest of the problems you have Mate! Winter ends after August there so you should have plenty and if I know you you won't stop there. Good for you Rob.

Thanks Butch in reality I'm relieved to be back to getting my own wood as I haven't been able to do it the last couple of years. I've been doing it for so long now that it doesn't sit right relying on the good will of others for your firewood.

You might have noticed that I get a bit obsessive about some things....Grin~

I have to get someone in to do gutters these days as that darned vertigo gets me if I get above the ground in any way.

I managed to split 2/3rds of the latest wood split yesterday and get it stacked. My back & hands made it impossible to finish it, but I'm close!

This is the result and it doesn't look like a months work, but it is. There are 2 rows, one behind the front row and I've probably still got about 50 pieces to still go on the pile today hopefully.

So using say 4 pieces a night how long do you reckon this is going to last?
