And Sjael finished formatting the DIY section to the wiki when he installed the backup. Prior to that, I was only about half-way through the list.
Props to both of you Rob, I think it's wonderful it's still alive. If you ever need the links checked, updated or added to just let me know mate.

I always get a little bit sad when someone resurrects one of these threads that have a post from animalfarm in them.
    Very sad, that's for sure.

Someone should take over where Greg left off and continue to compile knowledge for all of us.
Not here though, just as likely to be unceremoniously dumped like last time.

The DIY still lives at Robin's Unofficial Epiphone Wiki, Animalfarm's DIY Links (now with Table of Contents) as does the Serial Number ID thread.

I did mean guitars in general Rob, and Maton isn't the only game in town, there's Redback, Cole Clarke, Crossley, Cargill, Cloud Nine and a slew of others, many of them not only with original shapes and ideas than the rest, but made out of 100% Aussie timbers, I'm hoping to sell some of mine off just so I can indulge in some home grown goodness. Most of them are centered in Melb too, either Australian Guitar or Guitarist Australia magazine, not sure which off hand, has a series dedicated to Aussie builders, they make a very good read.

Mackay is almost an hour up the road, so even though I make the trip occasionally, I never do food shopping up there, locally we only have woolies (only open 3yrs or so) and IGA, both of which are fairly small operations, that's ok, I'm not much of a foodie anyways.

Perhaps if those things were available Australian made, your comment would be relevant.

You do what you can and besides I don't like our local Safeway/Woolworths store. The staff are very unhappy and mostly unfriendly.

Much of it is available Aussie made and/or Aussie assembled, especially the guitars which this forum is biased towards.

Ah the benefits of living in a populous area, having the choice of supermarkets and such, and I'm sure Coles employs a much higher class of person than does Woolies too.

Thanks for the note!! I was just so blown away with Greg's passing as I got this note from him just about 10 days before he was gone. Do you know what happened to him? Just didn't sound like things were pressing with the cancer for him (yet) from his note.
    Thanks again

I had a sticky CTRL button on my work keyboard. Every time I would use the scroll wheel on the mouse, it would zoom my page out.

Haven't noticed to be honest, too busy typing, LOL. I got a new keyboard last week, I'm just getting my typing confidence back on track, it's great when the keyboard doesn't send a false CTRL while you're pressing the 'w' key or similar.
