Hold on now, if the replacement nut is the proper radius, cut for proper depth (1/64th @ treble side - 2/64th's @ bass side), and proper spacing, then it's pretty much "plug and play". Some, like Musikron, seem to prefer a blank nut that is hand fabricated using "trial and error" until they get it right. I don't have the proper files to slot a blank nut, so I would have to get a "plug and play" version. There are so many available, in so many different styles and materials, that the correct choice may seem daunting. Thankfully, there's a lot of experienced people here that can help steer you in the right direction.
