  1. better than 100% of the stuff you will hear on the radio. Well done!
  2. The D55 is a big bold built like a tank Dread. Love 'em. At one time was part of my stable along with a couple custom Gibsons. (see pic) These days as an ole fart who is content to sit back sip whiskey, strum my guitar and reminisce about the good old days, I am satisfied with just my J45,
  3. Just a Hummingbird or J45 or D 28 or D18 or 000-18 in the right hands is all you would ever need.
  4. Thank you. My previous Gibson acoustic was a New Vintage J185 that was wonderful. Body was a bit large for me, but it sounded like...well a great J185. Picked this J45 from a number of KOA guitars, most priced a bit higher. The first few strums on this bad boy was all I needed. Fits like a glove, sounds amazing with that KOA "sparkle" and good bass as well. Plus, it's so damn gorgeous, even the wife likes it!
  5. 335 Fat Neck and friend. Both long gone, but certainly not forgotten
  6. As a geezer who is old and getting older elected to sell most of my guitars within the last year so as not to burden the wife when I do ride off into the sunset. Down to 1 superb electric and 1 amazing acoustic Came home with this earlier this week. My final and only acoustic
  7. How about a "Maui Bird?" The back of my 2011 Hummingbird (next to her Guild brother).
