  1. GAS'ing Again

    25 March 2013 - 07:49 AM

Suddenly, I have a strong temptation to get a Taylor for their ES pick-up system and alleged 'playability'.

Seems like it would complement my Southern Jumbo and D21 fairly well.

Anybody here play a Taylor have any comments?

This is the model (214ce) I was thinking about.

  2. 12-Fret Option?

I know of the JB, but what other options are there? Maybe even a non-Gibson.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
  3. Best Gibson Acoustic Factory Pick-up

Just curious about which current Gibson acoustic has the best sounding factory pick-up? Obviously an opinion question.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
  4. Guitar and Cajon

I like to mess with a Meinl cajon, and have tried different ways to lay down a beat while playing guitar.

Gibraltar just came out with this, and I ordered one to check it out. You can use the cajon has a guitar stool.

  5. Amp Advice to Christmas Gift

    12 November 2012 - 07:01 PM

You might remember, I am an acoustic guy the got a Les Paul CC about a year ago. I have be running it through a little VOX AC4 TV, and also a little Fishman acoustic amp. Mostly I like fairly clean sound guy, but I want it to definitely sound "electric". I'm strictly an amateur at home player.

Anyway, the deal from the family is that for Christmas I can buy a somewhat bigger amp (maybe 15-30 watt range), and spend maybe $500-800.

Looking for advice on what makes and models might be good.

    Thanks for your ideas.
