  1. Is this a custom shop model?

    27 September 2017 - 01:23 PM

1952 les paul tribute model only 400 of these were made, but i do not see a Custom Shop logo anywhere and i believe new this was over 4,000 dollars? If anyone can answer what the list price of this was when relased and if it was a Custom shop model i would greatly appreciate. In the grand scheme, i guess a CS logo doesnt matter, how it sounds, feels and plays in your hands does.
  2. Tradionals 1700 at AMS

    13 August 2017 - 04:06 PM

Its weird, i have a standard, but not a fan of chrome tuners or locking tuners. Ive never had a problem with les pauls going out of tune, its not like acoustics which always seem to go out of tune now matter how good the brand. I was thinking id love the slim necks of a standard, with the 57 classics i often see in traditionals. Then, i saw this on American music supply, 1700 for a killer guitar with both a 1 11/16" neck, and 57 classics, and the klusen type tuners i love.

Oh man, major gas, the price is fantastic. https://www.american...mpaign=GIBCLOSE

    Someone help GAS!!!
  3. NGD

Finally got one, Martin D-28. I have heard for years how great these are and finally got one. Its quite loud, the ebony feels like rosewood to me, but its got incredible projection. The guy who sold it to me had Daddario strings on it, im not a big fan of their acoustic strings, i prefer Elixers and Martin. But, first chance i get i will slap some better strings on to get more of the tone i prefer. Well, better tone for me, im sure those strings are fine for those who like that. The guy who sold it to me was so cool, an old school deadhead and he even included a free 200 dollar LR Baggs pickup, it has a volume knob or something but i cant see the name of the pickup and he doesnt remember what it is, but he swears its the best. Ill show a closeup if anyone knows please tell me, thanks!
