Thanks for the lyrics. I really like the words. It is a great set of lyrics. However, I agree with BBG about removing the word Syrian. I think the bit about the photo and the boy on the beach should be an obvious enough reference, placing the song in time, for those who listen carefully. For those missing the reference, it keeps the song more general, a win-win... [biggrin]

Great stuff, as far as my taste! Thanks for posting.

Ah, that was a sweet little production. Just the kind of thing I recently set out to learn. Very, very nice, and just the right amount of extras added.

The one thing Gibson cannot duplicate though is the individuality of the Banners. It was both their blessing and their curse. Some bracing had a deeper scallop than others, some had a longer end taper and so on. Then you throw in the screw ups in the build which can turn conventional wisdom about how to make a proper guitar upside down. You gotta love it.

Yes exactly! Like the old SJ that John Thomas owns, which sounds fabulous, but has the x-bracing off center (and by quite a bit too...)[biggrin] They ought to build a few Legends like that...

I am a guitar playing hack, but a music and guitar enthusiast, and I can't think of any material object as cool as and old Banner Gibson!

I really liked that! That song was new to me, but I thought it was great. As always, I'm very impressed by your playing, and also the sound quality of the songs you put up. I have just started learning to make better sounding recordings (with an iPad, an Apogee One soundcard, and an Aston Origin condensor mic). I'm not a gear person, so I try to keep the technical aspect of the hobby to a minimum. So there is quite a bit of a hump to get over. Recording well is difficult!

Lars, thanks for asking about my Southern Jumbo. Had it about a month now. I'll try to do a video review on it later this week. I just recently went from hosting two open mics each month to 5 each month. They pay me, but I'm busy-as-hell. The open mics and the gigs I regularly play are becoming too much like a, your playing, singing and songwriting is really impr...
