I don't know much about computers, and I sure don't know how viruses get transmitted, but my computer is gonna overheat.
THIS computer has it's issues and shuts off sometimes, maybe unrelated, but the fan is going nuts and things are real slow. Haven't done much besides do a little PM'ing asking the spammer to please stop.
I'm actually going to close the site for a few and see if it corrects itself...be back later I hope. -
POLL: Robert Johnsons guitar borrowed?
27 February 2013 - 07:53 PM
It came up in another thread, and I'm curious what poeple believe.
Lot's of rumors and mystery surround Robert Johnson, and of corse, some are actually stories. But in addition, there are always prevailing opinions, tidbits of info regarding legends, lore, or simply 'knowledge'.
Nothing wrong with having knowledge that isn't based on firsthand or is based on what you were told, or believing that "experts" have agreed on something that you yourself never cared to look into.
There's no right or wrong answer here, just curious on what most think is "common knowledge", or if some have opinions or not about the question. If you think you know, feel free to provide evidence or opinions why you think that way.
I'm curious, because of a recent WIKI article that states the guitar as borrowed, and presents it as fact. Last I knew, it was thought by most to be a rumor, or a possibility. -
Anyone see the movie "Blindside"?

Well, I am home at least.
This is strange....when changing a bulb for the left blinker on my truck, suddenly, the battery seems dead. And, I don't mean a little dead, I mean REAL dead.
It's an '03 Chevy, so not that old. Battery ain't that old if I remember correctly.
Anyway, it went like this: I pcked up some glass to finally replace the driver's side mirror. It is normally heated, auto folding, and has a blinker in it. Rather than shell out the 250 or so, I just bought some replacement glass and silaconed it on.
I have been driving without ANY left side blinker for a few days; not good. So, I HAD to get it fixed back there at least. So, I romoved the lens, changed the 2 known bad bulbs, went up to test it before I put it all back together. It blinked once, then stayed on, then tried the right side and it didn't blink either. Tried to start the truck and it wouldn't start. From there, the battery went from one click at the starter to real, REAL dead real fast.
Just to be sure it wasn't a serious short I just caused with the blinker bulb, I took it out, and checked for any obvious shorts. The truck ain't all THAT old, and saw no signs.
I left the radio on and the interior light on while I was putting the mirror on. Hopefully, I just ran the battery down and now it is acting weird because it is all computerized and such...BUT, it really is acting like I would expect from a short draining the battery.

20 Oct 2011 - 10:02You don't write the phrase 'in my opinion' a lot do you LOL - That is for you to figure out why I would say that...
I was expecting a pm back rather than a such in depth reply on the forum. I COMPLETELY disagree with you about bringing up a Chinese guitar on the thread and think you (again) are being bossy and pushy,
Yes, I love ...
