  1. It goes well with your front door... P.
  2. Hi jdgm! How's it going? Good old rct and his Grey Poupon! I always preferred 'Moutarde de Meaux, Pommery' but, then again, it's Ron who quaffs Cristal by the (US) Gallon whilst I have to settle for La Grande Dame.... Hope you are all doing wonderfully well and a huge HELLO! from SE20. Pippy. Pippy Pippy.
  3. "Flying Microtonal Banana" by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtwKOuHA_tQ&list=PLqDGvd-6tzUvXxTCsjLv5uA1ThO_N-4Fc P.
  4. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed listening to the clip and doubly-thanks for the kind words. Y'all know I Love Youse Guys. I could write a volume about how so very much I love Paul Kossoff's playing so I won't. Philip.
  5. Nicely understated; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7owzdGKelY Philip.
  6. My most sincere congrats, Scales! Great news all round! P.
  7. Hi folks. Hope everyone is well? Not been posting around this place much but have been delighted to see how things are going on - especially (of course) as regards my old friends. Just a short post to wish everybody the very best for the festivities and hoping for a much healthier 2021. I know that Beano...etc..etc...etc.. are Slowhand's "best" work but as far as coming from the pure fun and enjoyment angles are concerned I have decided my #1 EC is the poorly recieved 'Backless'. What Say You? A very sincere Happy New Year to everyone when it comes! My Very Best Wishes to All, Philip P.S. : Ron! Let me know if the Cristal is any good?
  8. Hi and welcome to the forum and congrats on acquiring a very beautiful 'bird. Up to you, of course, but changing the tuners would be a massive mistake - and that's an understatement. Happy Learning! P.
  9. Thanks for that, jdgm. A bit more 'Old Skool' than the ubiquitous use of numerous digital delays (not that I'm casting any aspersions in that direction whatsoever; highly impressive stuff!). Numerous uses spring to mind for this instrument used as a blues tool with some basic drone bass notes, strummed triplets left to resonate and with single-note fingerwork over the top of all. I wonder what music John Martyn could have performed in a live setting using this instrument?........ Very enjoyable and thought-provoking. Philip.
  10. At least it was 'just' a 1959 reissue. This is (was?) a real '59; P.
  11. Very Nice Haul, rct! Philip.
