Not to worry, my sj200 is authentic... there were some modifications that were made, but I'm having it brought back to original condition :)

    Brad Paisley is playing well, although I prefer the feel of my '75 Takamine. Just learning Blackbird on it - whew, this is my first song down the neck.

    Music and memories are so weird. My interest in guitars was always as a player, I mean, I have the same I-can't-take-my-eyes-off-it fascination for guitars that my puppy has for her toy - and it must be admitted, I don't have a a good voice. In spite of that, I would have to say that there are so many singing groups that have moved me emotionally. I mean, catch the Platter...

    As for whether or not you are a good player, don't let everybody else define you are your goals; after all, it's a rare individual that will say something along those lines that really means to say something constructive. The methods of playing have become so diverse and defined that the guitar has a specific "dialect" in nearly a dozen styles of music.

    Welcome, thevalleygirl,
    I hope the guitar will keep on encouraging you. Sometimes the challenge can seem like it's just too much, but I have always found a real sense of satisfaction when I can actually began to make the sounds I was looking for. Sometimes when nothing else seems to be going right, you know, a little dog and a guitar can be just the right companions.
