  1. I have previous with casino’s and sanding, been there and it takes time to get it right. The one I’ve sanded had an imperfection On the finish so it’s no issue for me and any over sanding I can live with to be honest, I call it character. I’ve sanded a cherry one down to a natural in the past, one I wish I’d never got rid of to be honest and the slight over sanding made it unique, wish I could track it down to be honest. My other Casino in Cherry that I have now, I don’t want to remove the cherry stain at all, I want to wet sand to dull the poly finish, I don’t like the sticky tacky feel on the neck either not do I like the shiny finish. I was going to steel wool it with a very fine steel wool but I think wet sand with a 1500 would be easier, that’s why I asked the question.
  2. Do you have any pictures on what this looks like? I’m currently in the process of refinishing 1 of my casinos (I’ve done this before also) but my other cherry red one i want to keep the colour but give it a matte look much like you, would be interested to see the results. Thanks
  3. Mine comes tomorrow but is being delivered to my mums house so won't get it home until the weekend :-(
  4. Wow, what a beauty. A few more days and I'm ordering mine. With or without scratchplate though? I don't have my scratchplate on my white 355 and prefer how it looks.
  5. I still haven't got mine yet, I'm waiting for pay day. The cherry is available I a few places here in the uk, granted we'll have got the sheratons later than the US though.
  6. I got the epiphone 355 in white last year, absolutely love it, great guitar and the pickups sound great. I may in the future change them out but right now I don't see the need as I think they're great. I can't really tell u which to choose as I tried a 62 Sheraton reissue on Monday and have now fallen in love with these too ha. Hopefully getting one in a month if they're still kicking about in the uk.
  7. These look do nice. Got a white 355 last year which is great. I like this and the crestwood 62 reissue. Think ill go natural if I can save the pennies for a Sheraton, I'm liking the mini humbuckers on it. The crestwood looks great too though. Wonder what else epiphone have in store this year, if these 2 guitars are anything to go by we could be in for a real treat!
  8. Not a huge fan of the dot, I used to have one but the look of it never did anything for me. The dot pro however looks mint, the binding and pearl inlays make it look do much better and the iced tea clour, wow, I may get myself one of these. I'm meant to be saving for a Gibson non reverse firebird but may have to dip into that fund for one of these.
