  1. Just wondering how to sell my Gibson SJ200. I know there are new scams everyday and was hoping to get some advice and to avoid the local junkies from popping over and taking inventory while kicking tires they have no intention of buying.
  2. Nice post JC! I enjoyed listening to old George.
  3. Phenomenal! And the singer sounds like Dio!
  4. Dave that maple still looks brand new or was that picture taken when you first got it? The pickguard doesn't have a scratch on it!
  5. Snake oil? That' stuff is hard to find. Especially the good stuff! I now NEED a ToneRite! The wife says thanks BK.
  6. I agree with your last statement 100%! I still remember the frustration of putting new strings on and the first week they would be too bright the second week perfect and the 3rd week dead.now with elixirs I can go 6 months and only change them because they have dents wherever the frets are but not on account of them being dead.
  7. I use Elixir nano .013's on my Custom. I use some open tunings and drop D quite often and like the thicker guage. The j200 can handle 13's no problem. I want to give the PB's a try to see how I like them.
  8. Here you go. I learned this from Frank Fotusky, who is a killer player in the Jorma tradition. Finger any first position chord, say a G. Forward roll: Pick the low G with yr thumb, the 2nd string with the 1st finger and the 1st string with the 2nd finger. Backward roll, pick the G bass, first string2nd finger then 2nd string w/1st finger. Then add the 4 and 5 chords and play thru the changes

  9. Removing the controller is very easy. It's mounted on 2 magnetic poles. 1.Remove strings, 2.unscrew the end jack cap then unscrew the nut being careful not to let the end jack twist. There is a cross hole thru the end jack you can put a jewelers screwdriver thru to keep end jack from twisting while you unscrew the nut. There is also a nut, lock washer and flat washer on the end jack inside the guitar if you can't reach inside the guitar they may fall off (the lock washer and flat washer) into the guitar but you can get them them after the controller is removed. 3.Now reach in and grab the controller and pull straight down and controller will release from the 2 magnetic poles. 4.Now you can turn the controller so you can see where the element undersaddle pickup is attached by 2 small flat head screws. Loosen those screws so you can pull the 2 wires of the element undersaddle p/u from the controller 5.now you can push the element wire up from the inside which will then dislodge the undersaddle pickup from the saddle slot and you can then remove the element wire completely. 6. Remove the Velcro backed bag holding the battery from the neck block and remove complete assembly (controller, end jack and battery). Hope that helps.
  10. You really have got the Bruce vibe down JDB! Nice job!
  11. Well I have a year to practice it and I think it's gonna take the better part of it before I can play it. Hopefully next Christmas I can return the favor and play it for you.
