  1. Nice response Milo (as always). I think Arlen Roth's lessons on the Gibson website are great. Here is his Chuck Berry lesson.
  2. Damn, rocketman. Hear the track from when you were 16 and you guys were jamming. Drummer got right into that groove, it seems. Too cool!

  4. Nice job Searcy! Although I understand all of your technical details I certainly don't have the skills to do what you do. You should really do an online course. I'd pay for it!
  5. Nice! I like the four position transfer switch. Also, I've never seen a midrange controller on a bass? I'll admit that my knowledge of basses is limited.
  6. All excellent replies. I actually heard about the 355 before the 335. That's because the first player I started to learn from was Alex Lifeson.
  7. Great video Searcy. Great tune in the background and a great bass too. I have one and I love it.
  8. Well a question was given. Answers are the reason why we have a forum. In my youth I used 9's on my Sonex. I did it mainly because they made me feel like I was playing faster. Years ago when I restored my Sonex I put 10's on it. I like that fatter sound on all my Gibsons. But that's just me. The bottom line is that it's completely up to you. If you change it to 9's just take it to a tech and for $40 it'll be setup properly and ready to go.
  9. Aw man, I'm sorry. I'm a jackass at times, I meant no harm

  10. Hey Rocketman! Are you from Rochester? I seen a post of someone asking you about The House of Guitars!

  11. I've never had an issue with them. I have them on my Sonex, which I gigged steadily with for over 10 years. I beat the heck out of that guitar. I cracked the pickguard, loosended the connections, warped the neck from neglect, but my knobs never cracked.
  12. Rocketman,

    how's it going?

Hope you're having a great Christmas.

  13. Time to let this thread die. Check out the last the nine posts from Rocker. He doesn't even know if he's got a 2008 or 2009 model guitar and I still haven't seen any real pictures of it. He's got a video but I doubt that he even has a guitar. Time to move on...
