  1. I don't believe there is anything wrong thinking out of the box and some feel safe there which is fine . New ideas can be a risk yes but experimenting can be innovative to a individual and take you where you never thought possible which is a very good thing and a learning experience . What would this world be like today in general if folks didn't take chances and think out of the box .
  2. Im all school I prefer not looking at plastic wiring just knowing its there displeases me . Will it make a sonic difference no I reolize that its just my personal preference .
  3. Thats good to know about the input jack being switchcraft . Will not change the tone pots or the caps but may change to cloth wire . Just found this Switchcraft™ toggle switch ensures life long security found that statement on Epiphone site but mine is faulty and looking into the guitar I don't see the Switchcraft name so I'm skeptical . Thanks
  4. Number one I don't like plastic wire cloth is my preference and better parts yes upgrade as my toggle switch is faulty so a switchcraft will be my replacement and since Im in I will also replace in input jack . As far as the other things Ive mentioned well thats up in the air at the moment . Im not after tone change Im after reliability endurance so if Im on stage or recording the certainty of failure is less . ............................................................. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBB2o5ejb-U
  5. My objective is not a tone changing experiment its merely upgrading to better parts in my guitar so they are more durable longer lasting . Something tells me the caps are .047 but I'm not spec expert for sure .
  6. Hello Folks Thinking about upgrading my tone & volume pots on my Inspired Casino . What value do I need for both and also will my current knobs fit the new pots . What is the value of the caps currently in this guitar . Im replacing my input and toggle switch with switchcraft and also going to replace plastic wire with cloth . Your thoughts are appreciated
  7. Ive had the Gibson ES 330L and sold it after a comparison side by side with the ES 330 VOS . Both nice instruments and there are differences in the tone no question so for me its the VOS which just suits me for what Im looking for and taking nothing away from the ES 330L but to my ears the VOS just captures that late 50s & 60s tone , feel and vibe .
  8. Do you still have the Gretsch Chet? I'm a Jet Dynasonic lover (caddy green).
