  1. looks like someone took a hammer or soldering iron to the fret edges! LOL! when a file was all they needed... That's a little on the bit too much side..
  2. Thank you sir, may I have another? hard for a dinosaur like me hard not to like!
  3. hang your head in shame, you must a done something sparky you know what a trouble maker you can be.... LOL! JK..
  4. My hunch is cock pit error. Letting some people loose on a guitar with tools can sometimes lead to unpleasant results.
  5. would not really bug me if the price reflected that and of course, done right it does look like the repair job was solid I think the ballpark on repaired neck is 50% from what it would be without the break not sure if that's fair but that seems to be the going rate.
  6. This is one of the big draw backs with buying online. Gibson necks are a bit unpredictable.
  7. they are hands down, at the very the top of my list. I wouldn't say my life wouldn't be the same with out all those years since the second album, but, ya it probably wouldn't be. (as a guitarist Anway) the only tour I missed was I think Vapor Trails
  8. people get way too hung up on that question. I was at new years eve party, and someone had asked me if I was still playing and of course, "yes" another person listening in on that conversation proceeded to ask who I thought was the best drummer, bass player, guitar player, Band -- twas easy 1: Neil Peart 2: Geddy Lee 3: Alex Lifeson 4: Rush I already knew he hated Rush, Thankfully that ended the conversation right there! There is no BEST, there's just GREATNESS and it's a legion of players strong.
  9. for in home use the Fender is a good choice if the plan is to do some solo gigging, you'd probably favor the Fishman Loudbox Artist. IMHO the fender on board effects I like better.
  10. LR Baggs are decent sounding pickups. I have a Loudbox Artits and the Fender Acoustasonic JR. They both are pretty good acoustic amps.
  11. unless you say it like "GAY-RAHG" it's not a real garage... you brits talk kinda funny,
  12. 14k? chya,, right.. I'll take two plz.
  13. That's really a shame. How many people will purchase one of these, and not even realize it till much later. Every time I go to a GC these days, I'm reminded why I will never buy another guitar from them. Last time was well over 20 years ago, when you still had half a chance.
  14. and The Best Comment Of The Week Award goes to................. envelope please... !!!MURPH!!! Too funny
  15. thanks guys! I didn't miss too many tours Sarge. S & A was a cool concert. We pulled about 25/30 ppl together, hired out a bus to get into town and rented one of the luxury boxes at TD Garden. The Guild sounds fine, and we'll give you a pass on the Rush artwork. ha! That stuff has been there so long I kinda forgot it was there -- till I watched the video. yea.. - Fan boy much? I'll fall on my sword at some point.
