Noki Edawards was originally brought into the group to play bass, think it was late 1958 or 1959 with Bob Bogle playing lead guitar.
Then around early 1962 if I remember right, Noki and Bob switched with Noki playing lead guitar and Bob playing bass.
Have always loved the Ventures sinse hearing them in the late 1950s.

Just yesterday a friend of mine gave me 2 Cerwin Vega speakers and cabinets that he no longer wanted.
Not sure what I am going to do with them, as I donít play any longer, and have a basement full of speakers and cabinets.
I will probably find something I can use them for though.
I hooked them up just to check them out and they sounded great .

I used to use wall hangers, but now I have fire proof guitar safes.
Even with good alarms around the house, I still feel better knowing they are locked up and would be near impossible to get to unless you have the safe codes.
Since I donít play them any more, access to them is not an issue.

    How was Chicago ?
    You have a good time.
A very good friend of mine has lived there for close to 45 years and said the winters can be brutal
Thanks Travis. I will check it out

I am an old school rock n roller, and grew up in the late 40s / 50s and it’s sad to hear so many of the greats I grew up listing to are passing away.
I know that they are getting up there in the years. Fats was 89, but it’s still sad to hear their passing.
He was one of the originals for sure.
