Yes it was, sorry for the delay I didn't get a notification that you had replied. I'm gonna post a bit of info to that thread that might be useful to you.

was your hum really loud prior to the cap job? I just posted a pic of mine w/ some info of where I'm at right now, under the 'speaker wattage vs amp wattage' thread since I'm still too new to enter the lounge I can't post to your thread yet.

Looking forward to seeing it then. Just did the cap job last night on the Skylark and damn it makes such a difference. If it wasn't for needing to switch out the plug then that simple fix could've made the amp studio-ready. And yes, MF is very slow. Took 3 weeks to get my SG case from them. Good luck!

I plan on documenting it all the way through w/lots of pics and maybe some sound clips. I want to record a little before I mess with the original circuit, than after the new caps, then again after the new output transformer. Everyone has been so helpful I figured I should pay it forward. Still waiting on the damn
speaker- MFriend must be shipping via Pony Express!

Hey no problem, good luck with getting it up and running! I'm still waiting on the caps to arrive so I gotta get a multimeter and start discharging the old ones. Post some pictures in the thread if you can once you get it set, I'd love to see it

Hey I tried to comment on your Skylark post. I have a 67 with tremolo and I'm trying to restore it right now. I have new caps, but haven't installed them yet. I'm also waiting on a new speaker & output xformer. Thanks for posting the schematic- Ive been searching all over for it!
