  1. It is being reported that the "race baters" are now starting to question Francis Scott Keys legacy as they are bringing up his families ownership of slaves as well as remarks he's made about the inferiority of blacks. It sure didn't take long. How unfortunate that people can't let things be. It wasn't problematic when they originally built the bridge. Now, it's an issue.
  2. Yeah, I'll bet they could create a pedal with a rotary switch that engages the three main designs. From what Fuller says in his interviews, he originally had one germanium diode wired in and going to I believe V-Reference. as opposed to ground. Now he's using two Ge diodes and both go to V-Ref. instead of ground. I'm sure he's thought about it.
  3. Ha@ dem00n. Yeah, I remember him.
  4. I think I was the second guy to watch this video the day Reverb posted it. Nothing like good ol' Hendrix tone to set the mood. A vibe pedal, some fuzz face, an octave pedal, and a wah wah. Look out now!!! And yes, JB did say that.
  5. Milod added me as a friend. I miss that guy. He was one of the best members of the lounge. Anybody ever hear from AXE? He was another member who was well respected around here.
  6. The Olympic's have a long-standing tradition of including obscure sporting events: Tug o' War Rope Climbing, keeping the rope theme going. Plunge for distance Obstacle Swimming Artistic Swimming Race Walking and the most insane competition .... Pistol Dueling. However, the Olympic competitions of Live Pigeon Shooting and Poodle Clipping were once the golden dreams of many during the 1900 Paris Olympics.
  7. Thanks, It was a good break. It's incredible what you can do when you put your time into things.
  8. Well I will say that some of the guitars Trogly got were quite nice indeed. That firebird was nice, but I was leaning towards the Rebel Flag Explorer.
  9. Yeah, they're great guitars. It's got me wanting an ES-355 now. One with the F-holes. Even though I tend to play my ES-175 or telecasters when practicing, on those occasions when I break out Lucile I am always amazed at the playability and tone.
  10. I have to say that this guitar plays every bit as good as you would expect from a Custom Shop guitar. It comes with the 490 pickups and just sounds AMAZING! More photographs: Notice there is no Gibson on the headstock? Interesting huh. Here's Black Betty and Lucile.
  11. So after a prolonged sabbatical from the lounge, I've managed to make it back. As Joe says, "Life's been good to me so far", but not without its trials and tribulations, blessings and rewards. I have managed to improve my playing and understanding of the our beloved instrument of choice. I've also added to my humble collection. In the spring of last year there was an incredible Estate Auction in San Luis Obispo, CA, just a mere 40 miles up Hwy 101. There were roughly 200 guitars and amps in the collection. Some real rare items were up for auction too. Check out Trogly's post on YouTube. And again here. So my son had told me he wanted to get me a BB King for my birthday. I told him how much they cost and how much he'd have to pay for one. I told him I'd pay half and we set out to win the BB King being offered on the Estate 360 Auction. Happy to say that we won the day. We were the high bid. Here's a couple pictures of Lucile, a 2009 Custom Shop BB King.
  12. Yeah, I know. I'm Fulltone Fan for sure. I own 10 pedals by Fulltone. I expect to get one more, the Supa-Wah pedal, before I really cool my jets and start putting my pedalboard together. Not all of these will go on my pedalboard as I have others, but I imagine the Soul Bender, OCD, Full-Drive 3, Deja-Vibe and the Ranger Treble Boost will end up there. Still, if you want to do Jimi Hendrix, the Deja Vibe, 69 Fuzz, Octafuzz and a good wah pedal is what you'll need, so we'll see. It's a work in progress.
  13. So cool. My first NAMM Show was probably 1988 in Anaheim.
