  1. Hey guys, thanks for the reply’s, as you and I thought the tradein offer was too low, 1250 for each, and with this I still was a couple of grand away from the price, and I value these guitars more than that, and to sell a les paul for that would make me feel real stupid. I guess I’m not that desperate yet. Besides that les paul is not bad at all and the strat sounds awesome, you just have to sit down with it, lol. I’ll try to sell them myself and then we’ll see. These custom shops are still being made so I’ll see what’s up in the future.
  2. Hi, guys have a dillema here and I would appretiate your input. I few years back I saw a custom shop les paul that was lightly reliced, comfortable neck and very light. Since then I always wanted one now that I knew they exist, haha. So I went to the store yesterday and there was a 58 reissue that had a lightly flamed top, which is my favorite, and all the above features that I like. The price tag is 5 grand, so the only way to get it is through tradeins. Now my heart is split, I have a 87 les paul studio standard, plaintop with the thinner body but still 9.3 lbs. Neck is hefty too but I don’t dislike it and it has the 80’s Tim Shaw’s in it but to me it doesn’t sound that magickly good, but I can live with it. The second guitar that I have to trade is a 79 strat with a weird color, seethrough red, it’s a hardtail, without the original bridge pickup, but I’ve installed another 79 pickup I bought. It’s 9.5 lbs and has a super thin neck, I don’t play it much, it sits in it’s case most of the time. So these are pretty good guitars but still I’ll have to pitch in with cash, don’t know how much yet. I have a feeling that these older guitars are just worth more than that new guitar but still that thing is awesome! What do you guys think, I’m just curious what other people would think in my place. Wanted to post pics too but don’t have a imagesite and they are too big to post through here. Thanks
