  1. Hi Stener , I have learned a lot on my own with books etc. Played accordion my whole life so knew music theory, rythmn etc. Took some lessons and picked up some off the internet including the justinguitar.com like you. Also went to a couple bluegrass workshops. If you want to try bluegrass start out with Billy In The Lowground and Red Haired Boy....Then you will be addicted like me!

  2. Hi Eric, I'm In Canmore,ab. I like mostly old rock, folk, Neil young etc. I've actually had to take the past year of practicing so I feel like I'm almost starting from scratch again, never the less I really enjoy it. I have a j-45 that Feels and sounds great to me. I would like to get into the bluegrass style but I'm still at a pretty basic level. Thank's for the contact. Brian

  3. Hi western viking, Thank's for the contact.Have you been taking lessons or learning on you're own? I've been doing free lessons on the internet at justin guitars.com

  4. HELLO Stener. I see you are from Canada like me. I am from Lloydminster Alberta and have played guitar a few years like you. Where are you at? I have a Gibson Songwriter, Collings D2H and a Takamine EAN10C. What type of music are you playing. I have really gotten into and enjoy Bluegrass flatpicking. Would like to be your friend...Erik

  5. I've recently purchased a 2009 j-45,great sounding guitar. The original saddle still on guitar,It has some pretty good wear grooves on it,pings and pops at times when tuning. I want to replace it with bone but I don't really want a drastic sound change. I'm assuming that because the saddle is on top of the pick up strip, which I think may be some what dampening, bone will not be to drastic of a sound change. Does this sound accurate?? Thank's for any input.
