  1. What makes you think it's not mahogany? Because the guitars feel lighter then they should? Would be interested to hear your opinion.
  2. Well, if it wasn't for that "cheap knockoff" I could probably only imagine what is like to play a Les Paul..as I couldn't afford..or even if I could, wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about buying 2-3x expensive guitar that, in general, doesn't sound THAT better, to justify the price tag..In my opinion.
  3. ^^We have similar guitar series, mine was made in 1996 with a serial Y6112463 in a factory which is still not in the database (I think yours is made the same year as mine in the same factory but a bit earlier). Mine seems to be original Epiphone as it has "USED" stamp in the back of the headstock and I'm pretty sure yours is not fake as well but I'll let more knowledgable folks chim in. As for the head shape, mine is the same, nothing really wrong with it IMO. :)
  4. That may very well be the case in the States, but I live in Croatia and I don't think we have those in the stores. :) This is why I'm asking if anyone of you guys used them on your Ephies and which one to take, given the rod insertion is a bit angled and I'm not 100% sure a straight gripper would do the trick.
  5. I'm probably gonna order one of these: http://www.stewmac.com/Luthier_Tools/Essential_Tool_Kits/Gripper_Truss_Rod_Wrenches.html Anyone had any experience with these gripper wrenches?
  6. Yes, you're right. I got one today but it seems the nut is too worn and I couldn't turn it at all.. :(
  7. Hello guys! Do you know if there's a place online I could order Truss Rod Tool for my Epiphone? I also posted a picture for reference (not sure what tool do I exactly need): Thanks in advance.
