  1. What is your favorite Pickup?

    28 October 2017 - 07:05 PM

I'm new to the pickup thing, I've never put any in a guitar before and it seems theres a wide variety out there. My Gibson Gold Top came with Alnico pickups and so did my Epiphone Standard but I can hear a difference between the Gibson and Epiphone. The Gibson sounding slightly better although their both standards. So when my son gave me this Epiphone Custom Pro, I looked it up and it has Buck buster humbuckers. (Think that is right) they sound so much better then the other 2 guitars and it has sustain that carries on. So I was wondering what is your favorite pickups and why?

  3. Shooting

    02 October 2017 - 01:01 PM

well since it's not listed here yet, there was another mass shooting in Vegas. A 64 year old gunman named Stephen Craig Paddock checked into a Vegas hotel with at least 10 guns, rifles, sounds like the ones he used were full auto, and on the night of a concert outdoors, he positioned himself on the 32nd floor, opened his window and open fired on the crowd below. 58 are dead so far, at least 515 are injured and taken to hospitals. They don't believe it's terrorist related and he shot and killed himself. Police found him dead in his room. Just thought folks would want to know.
  4. To see or not to see.

    21 July 2017 - 10:05 AM

I posted this on the Gibson lounge so might as well here too. Paul McCartney is coming to our Centry Link this Sunday and they can't sell all the tickets. They have $75.00 tickets left in the nose bleed way in the back of the stadium looking straight at the stage. Deb and I saw Paul with Linda way back decades ago at Ames Iowa and it was a superb concert. Only Paul, and Ringo are left and she loves the Beatles. She wants to know what you guys think? Should we go or not? She has great memories of them before and this could be her last chance to see Paul.

Im guessing I'm supposed to say something here. I am just a Grandpa who plays guitar. Guess that makes me a Guitarist Grandpa, just like a normal Grandpa, except much cooler! Lol
