Topics I've Started

  1. looking for artists to record my songs

    25 May 2017 - 01:22 PM

    Hi Gals & Guys,

    My Writing Muse hit me late in life. I'm just a retired sofa blues player, not interested in recording myself or thrashing around on stage. Over the past 8-10 months I've been waking up with lyrics in my head that I had to write down to shut her up...

    I've got lyrics for 4 songs;

    "Guitar Jones Blues" A traditional slow blues tune
    "Biddy Early Biddy Early" An old fashioned folk ballad (true story)
    "Gas Station Sushi" A uptempo humorous song
    "Drawing on a Mexican Straw" An easy going laid back vacation song

    If interested message or email me. If you hit it big, you can have the fame & glory. I'll take writing credits :)

    Thanks, Jenny Jenny
  2. I did what I said I'd never do

    18 May 2017 - 05:13 AM

    Yup... I traded one of my Les Pauls. I sacrificed my sweet 2002 LP Standard Honey Burst in a straight up trade for a mint 2008 ES335 Vintage SunBurst Figured Maple. I've wanted a ES335 for years but never had the $ to buy one. It was on the local Craigs, so I made the guy an offer. He went for it. I've still got my 2006 LP Classic Antique and my 2016 Firebird V. And now a ES335! Wahoo!

    I'm trying to add photos but the editor keeps saying the pics are too large. I don't know how to reduce them. Sorry guys, shes a beauty.
  3. Greetings from Seattle

    Greetings from Jennysan,
    Actually just Jenny but someone else has my name.
    After many years, playing many many different guitars, from the expensive to the cheap copies, some great, some good, some not so... I've come to the inescapable realization that the Gibson Les Paul is the greatest solid body guitar in the world. Playing a Les Paul shakes me to my bones like no other. So, I excepted it. I've started trading all my other guitars for LP's and I'm not gonna look back. There. I said it. I'm now going to enjoy my semi retirement, sit back in my sofa with a Les Paul and play the blues, "so help me Johnny!"
