I'm guessing he means that the LP spins around... revolutionary.

They are $129. Sweetwater seems to be the only one who has them yet. Sweetwater has them listed on eBay too for the same price.

Really? Wow, so much for the EU free trade crap keeping prices down. Hah!

It's SEK1195 at These Go To Eleven (in stock now) and SEK1078 at Thomann, that's $166 - $184.

I have the same main concern about this as I did with the old robots. Floppy strings. Maybe it's just me, but coming from a background of playing metal, alternate tunings for me has mostly been tuning down the whole guitar. Never did the 'drop-whatever' only tuning down one string. And when I did tune down I always changed string gauges. A half step down was doable with my regular tuning set of strings, but when I had a guitar dedicated for it I had another set on it. For a whole step down and below I always changed to heavier strings else it would just feel floppy, especially for the right hand. Another thing about the floppy strings was that they did sound out of tune to me. Might have been because they went to the sides when I fretted them more easily so I bent them out of tune or something, but I kinda imagined it was at least partly because they got floppy and didn't ring out clearly, but more... irregularly because they were also flopping about... if that makes any sense. Maybe that is what's happening here too.

That said, I've never really tried the DADGAD or open chord tunings, and with less frantic right hand work than what I used to do playing metal and a bit of practice, it might not be an issue.

Are you a fan of the ZVex SHO or is that just a coincidence?
I just ordered my first ZVex pedal. It's one of the painted Fuzz Factories. I really want pretty much all of their pedals I love ZVex.
