    But I can really "hone" a song by playing it in public....conversely...I really know when a song is a "dud" for my voice and playing style..if you know what I mean....good luck on your gigs.....break a leg!!!

    Great to hear from you!! I was off the forum for quite a while..all the infighting and personal attacks were getting to be too much....it has calmed down a bit...just NEVER say anything that can be construed as negative against the Mother company....lol..I'm still doing my Cafe gig.....I have found that playing in front of others...is the BEST practice possible..I don't know how...

    Albert, it is a recital at St Martin in the Field's this Tuesday at 1:10 pm. Entry is free and I am playing in their 'new music series'. So 30 of the 45 minutes are all original compositions...
    I know you probably can't get the day off but if you can...

    Hi Matthew.
    I'm very interested in what you think about the Vox. It got very good reviews in Guitarist a couple of months ago.
    I play the occasional gig in pubs and the Marshall AS50 is OK but I'm lookimg for the next step up. Robbie has just bought a used Fishman Loudbox 100 and we were playing with it this week. Very impressive.
