  2. And the companion to that model, the John Lennon Revolution Casino. Perhaps that is what the OP is referring to. If it is a poly finished Inspired By, no change should occur to the finish. But you would expect a nitro finish (as on the JL Revolution and JL 1965) to sink in time, which indeed might make the top feel rougher. In any case, I would use Gibson Pump Polish on it. It won't make the top feel too much smoother, but it is an excellent cleaner and polish. Red 333
  3. I was mostly wondering about the adjustable bridge. And the neck. This one has its share of dings … but the price reflected it and I’m ok with that. I think it has a tusq saddle. Wondering what changes bone would bring? anyways I’ll put it through the paces this weekend.
  4. Many think the terrorist already figured it out! Isn't it strange that this is almost the EXACT scenario described in the Obama produced film, "Leave The World Behind"? Even the same bridge!
  5. I actually thought the offending comment was when I said something about my sphincter getting a work out whenever I crossed a bridge from now on! Then, wouldn't you know..... ABC News publishes a story that only 36% of the Bay Area bridges are rated as in "Good Condition"! https://local.newsbreak.com/california-state/3383667284103-how-strong-are-bay-area-bridges-heres-what-abc7-i-team-uncovered?s=dmg_local_email_bucket_4.web2_fromweb
  6. The thread had the current president and how terrorists should attack a bridge and you guys can't figure that out? rct
  7. Today
  8. I haven’t been to your house so I’ll take you at your word you have that.
  9. Wraith, none of those apply to either Murph or me!
  10. Spamming often refers to advertisement, but the term is more about the nature of how the messages are sent - it's a non-targeted approach where you spray as many inboxes as possible with the same message in the hopes that a few will land. On a web forum, it can mean posting the same comment over and over (not necessarily an advertisement). In a chat, that might be referred to as "spamming the chat". Some web forums will notice a pattern of repeated messages and automatically perform actions on the account. Maybe that's what happened.
  11. I got a new L-00 standard vintage in December and its the only acoustic I've played since then. Zero problems and the more I play it the more I like it. I hope your luthier gets it set up right for you and you can start to enjoy it. Although I haven't even put a battery in it so I can't say for sure the pickups work.
  12. There is Velcro and then there is industrial strength Velcro. The latter is very hard to separate and it seems like they generally go with some stronger adhesive.
  13. Only have 1 of those - velcro attached battery holder - and it's never fallen out. Knock on wood. (Koa for you cork sniffers..) I'm guessing if the velcro adhesive is applied before the wood is wiped down real well, there will be a minute amount of dust - including sawdust - that'll affect the attachment. So, I'd be sure to wipe the wood off really well before trying to re-attach adhesive tape. 2nd point - I've found Gorilla Duct tape is really, REALLY strong. If you can figure out a way to double it up - I'd bet you dollars to donuts, it'd be permanent under normal operating conditions. But, since you've already reported fixing the problem. This suggestion is a (half) day late and a dollar short. Dollar not being worth more than 75 cents now. In WallyWorld yesterday - to purchase ONE 9v RayoVac battery - price? $6.74!!!
  14. I thought spamming was trying to sell something? What was I selling?
  15. I purchased an LG1 in '64 for $125. I would think yours cost about the same back then. In today's dollars - that would roughly equate to $1250. The minimum wage back then was $1.25. I had to put in long hours at the local grocery store to save up for it. My actual 'student' guitar originally cost around $25 new from a department store - a "Stella". There are a dozen or so LG-0s on REVERB and they range in price from $900 to $1500, depending on condition.
  16. Actually, it just depends on who you are. The other thread is still active.
  17. Yes. It was a joke. I posted that before I knew about the penalty points. I'm sorry.
  18. That explains that framed piece of spray painted concrete I have had hanging in my home for 25 years with the little brass plaque that reads "Berlin Wall 1961 - 1989".
  19. You should get into building your own pedals. You could make an ocd with the clipping diodes on a rotary switch and have all the options in one pedal It would have been so easy for Fulltone to put that on a switch. They probably didn’t want to modify their enclosure or PCB designs
  20. I had same issue with the mic in my J-50. The sticky part of the Velcro didn't hold to the wood. The Velcro part was fine. I had some real good double sided tape in the garage, so I cut a small square out and reattached the mic....maybe 3 years ago.... still holding fine.
  21. I guess if you open a thread on a bridge falling down, it had better be the London Bridge and played on a Gibson.
  22. I’m guessing maybe dem00n who hated EMG
  23. Ben, next time mention that one of the road workers had a Les in his trunk!
  24. Murph, If the T-50 stapler doesn't fit through the sound hole, perhaps a pop-rivet gun might. RBSinTo
